School Uniform

The wearing of school uniform cannot be made compulsory, however, the school actively encourages the wearing of uniform for a number of reasons:

  • It contributes to the feeling of belonging and school ethos
  • It provides a neat and tidy style of dress
  • It is an economical form of school clothing

It also discourages competition between children as to who is wearing the latest fashion or who has got the most expensive designer wear.

The school colours are NAVY, GOLD, RED and WHITE.

Our PTFA 'Friends of St Mellons C/W Primary School Association' also have a number of good quality, pre-loved logo uniform for sale at £1 per item.  Please help us become more sustainable by using this service, and by donating any good quality uniform you no longer need to us.  Thank you.  When stocks are available we will sell the pre-loved uniform in the Community Room - a text will be sent to inform you when this will happen.

PE Kits

Since Covid the children come to school wearing their PE kit, rather than bringing a kit in and getting changed.  As they are wearing kit all day it is important that they wear our approved colours and style.

Tops: Either a plain white polo shirt or a T-Shirt in their house colour.

Bottoms:  Black or grey shorts or joggers

No big logos, team football kits or patterns, please.

Thank you for your cooperation.
