Our Context

Our context this half term is, 'Down on the Farm'. As part of our learning we visited Green Meadow Farm. We looked at different types of animals. We found out about the food that the animals ate and the homes that they lived in. We talked about staying safe in a different environment.

Down on the Farm

Look at the farm photographs. Draw yourself on the tractor and add a speech bubble. What were you saying when you were on the tractor?

Pick an animal that you saw at the farm. Draw or paint that animal and where it lives. Label the animal and where it lives.

Make a poster telling people how to stay safe on the farm.

Write a set of instructions telling people how to wash their hands correctly. You can include pictures to help with each part .Begin each instruction with a bossy word.

Use the sheet provided above to go out into the garden and see what you can spot. If you have a magnifying glass that will help. Look in all sorts of places to see if you can find and identify as many insects as you can.
