Class 2

Welcome to Class 2

with

Mrs Brana and Mrs Owens

Summer Term

P.E. with Mr Groucutt is on Mondays and you can wear your kit to school. Spelling tests are on Fridays, spelling lists are on our Google Classroom page. Reading takes place every day with group reading sessions at the start of the day and children read as individuals to an adult. Your child's progress in reading should continue to be developed at home though shared reading experiences.

Our topic this half term is May the Force be with you!. We will be getting to know more about forces and movement, and pushes and pulls. We will be looking at World of Contrast and animals and plants from different climates. In literacy we will be reading and writing poems with patterns and looking at stories by the same author as well as multicultural stories and traditional stories from other cultures. We will be using IT to create graphs to show information.

Printing with our own ocean stampers for our International Oceans Day murals

What is FRICTION? Here we are learning about forces and friction.

Multiplication Maths - Mrs Williams asked us to help out with the stationery order using our knowledge of multiplication. Here we are working it out. Then we emailed our lists to Mrs Williams ready for September.

This is Class 2 and their bridges to save the Gingerbread man.

We are going on a Woodlice Hunt! Where do woodlice prefer to be? Do they like the dark or the light? Do they like it damp or dry? We are about to find out.

Cornel Cymraeg - Welsh Corner. Our Topic - Y Tywydd a Dillad - The weather and clothes.

Our Value this half term is 'Trust'. What can we do to show that we can be trusted? Jesus calmed the storm on the lake - What does Jesus want us to do when we are frightened?
