Blwyddyn Newydd Dda bawb! This Spring Term we are kicking off 2020 with the topic

 

Time travellers - The Tudors

 

Class 3 have been given the task of hosting a Tudor banquet on the 12th February. In order to carry out this task we will be researching what life was like for the Tudor's in the 16th century, by:

  • Studying William Shakespeare and writing play scripts and letters
  • Comparing and contrasting traditional Welsh dances and those from the Tudor period
  • Cooking Tudor recipes
  • Composing Tudor music
  • Investigating Tudor clothing and designing outfits
  • Observing Tudor portraits
  • Considering our digital world when carrying out research and using j2e-5 to assemble our research using hyperlinks, text features and images
  • Researching plants and herbs used by the Tudors by carrying out Scientific investigations

 

Our School trip to St. Fagans to find out more about the Tudors will be held on Wednesday 5th February.

Class 3 information

 

PE is on a Monday and Friday. Please bring in your kit at the beginning of half term and leave it on your peg.

 

Spelling tests are on a Monday and new spellings will be given out on the same day.

 

Reading bags need to be in everyday and can be changed whenever necessary.

 

'Big Maths Beat That' challenges will be fortnightly on a Friday. Please help your child with their Learn Its.
