Croeso i Dosbarth 4!

Teaching Assistant: Mrs McEvoy

Our PE day is THURSDAY - please wear your PE kit to school every Thursday.  Mr Groucutt is our specialist PE teacher who will be taking these lessons.

Spellings test are on Mondays and new spellings will be given out on the same day.

Reading books: every child has a reading book from our class library which must stay in school while Covid restrictions are in place, these can be changed whenever necessary.  All pupils have a Giglets account where they can find virtual books to read at home.

Homework: pupils have an on going PIP (Personal Interest Projects) book for your child to  work on throughout the term.  Please keep these at home.  If you would like to share any work you do at home, please upload it to our Google Classroom.

Our value this half term is

'In all things, give thanks.'

Thessalonians 5:18

Our context for Autumn 2020 is

Under the Canopy

During this context we will read 'The Explorer' by Katherine Rundell and write our own adventure story.

We will research rainforests across the world and discover why they are so important to preserve as well as finding out why deforestation is occurring.

After researching living things in a tropical rainforest, and other artists' work, we will create a giant collage of a rainforest scene for our classroom display.

We will draw line graphs to present climate information and compare the climate in Manaus to Cardiff.
